My Latest Podcast Obsession

Hey y'all!

I just wanted to do a quick post to share with y'all today...about podcasts! This is something that's been around for awhile, howeverrr it's something that's still relatively new to me.

Like just about everyone on my social media right now I too was once asking for podcast suggestions, and around this time of when I was looking, one of my absolute favorite bloggers released her very own podcast! So, rather than give y'all a laundry list of suggestions like I had received, I just want to mention that one in particular. Please note, this is not meant to be any type of review, I just want the world to know why I enjoy this podcast so much.

THE HAPPINESS LOOKS LIKE ME PODCAST is ah-mazing. I listen to it through the Apple podcast app, however, I know that Amanda has made it available on multiple platforms: Spotify, Google Play Music, and Stitcher. You can even listen to it directly on her blog: The Happy Arkansan via Buzzsprout.

Here's why I enjoy this podcast every week:
  • It's relatable and it makes sense
  • I don't struggle to follow it
  • It makes me feel better about myself
Now my reasons may sound vague, however, they're my own personal reasons (obvi). While I like to listen to podcasts purely for entertainment just as much as the next gal, I also like to listen to relatable ones that make sense to me. I'm not a mom, or a soon-to-be mom for that matter, so I do not enjoy, nor do I find a point in, listening to podcasts aimed at moms. I want something that is specifically relatable to me and the stage of life I'm in. Makes sense right?

This podcast is so easy to follow. I don't find myself zoning out while I'm listening to it like I have with some others. Amanda has done an excellent job of selecting subject matter that is actually interesting and holds the listeners' attention. I don't find myself thinking "ugh, hurry up," while I listen to her episodes like I have found myself thinking with other programs.

And most importantly, this podcast makes me feel better about myself, which goes back to the relatability factor. What I really mean is that Amanda has selected important topics that resonate with me on a personal level. Knowing that other people are experiencing the same thing that I am (or once did), and knowing that I'm not the only one, or knowing that I'm not strange or an outcast or anything else but me, makes me feel so much better about myself and my own life.

So that's why I like The Happiness Looks Like Me Podcast. Give it a listen and let me know down in the comments below what you think of it!

As always,
